Life often leaves us feeling isolated, incomplete, or uncertain. But Psalm 23 reminds us that we are never alone. The Lord is our Shepherd, friend, and companion, who walks with us daily.
When David wrote this psalm, he reflected on God’s faithfulness through both victories and trials. He saw how God’s presence guided, protected, and restored him. The same is true for us.
“The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want” means that in Him, we are already enough. We don’t need the approval of others or more things to feel complete—our true fulfillment comes from Christ alone. He restores our souls, bringing us back to who He created us to be, and He gives us peace that frees us from fear and anxiety.
Even in the valleys of life—those uncertain and painful seasons—we don’t have to be overcome by fear. God’s presence, protection, and correction are with us. He blesses us, welcomes us into His house, and His goodness and mercy follow us every day of our lives.
The truth is life-changing but straightforward: You are not alone.
Action Step: This week, read through Psalm 23 each day. Pray through the verses and invite God into your daily decisions.
